Sorry I Can't Play This Month - My Money Went to Buying Blinds

Dude! I did not realize how expensive blinds were. I will preface by saying that yes I wanted the honeycomb(cellular) shades. Since I live on a busy street with four lanes of traffic, I also wanted the double cell version for insulation and as a sound barrier, and I wanted the top down/bottom up kind so I could let in light without giving the vagrants in the park a free show (this was to make my mom happy - I'm not opposed to free shows).



Anyhow, those things are pricey! I got the least expensive ones I could find that had good reviews. And for the kitchen window I downgraded to single cell since it's a double paned window. All said and done, for four windows it's costing me almost $650! Yikes. Thank goodness my little abode doesn't have (or need) more windows.



Here's a picture of the kind of blinds I ordered. Coincidentally, the wall color is almost exactly the color I painted my walls. The color I'm still not sure about but am liking more and more. You just may need to keep your shades on when you come over until your eyes adjust. Thoughts?
